Consultation on proposal to make bye-laws in connection with the provision of certain public passenger transport services
The National Transport Authority (the “Authority”) proposes to make bye-laws in connection with the provision of certain public passenger transport services.
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 56A(4) of the Dublin Transport Authority Act 2008, by the National Transport Authority that it proposes to make bye-laws under Section 56A in relation to the performance by the Authority of functions conferred on it in connection with the provision of public passenger transport services (other than in respect of a rail passenger service and other than in respect of a contract awarded by the National Transport Authority to Dublin Bus or Bus Éireann).
A copy of the proposed regulations is available to download below or may be inspected at the Authority’s offices (see address below) between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday until 5pm on Monday 31st July 2017.
The purposes for which the proposed bye-laws are to be made are:
- the general regulation of travelling using the means of such transport services;
- the prevention of the commission of nuisances on the means of such transport services;
- the prevention of damage to the means of such transport services; and
- the prohibition of the use on, and the removal from, means of such transport services of certain items.
Any person may submit to the National Transport Authority objections to the proposed bye-laws using the following methods;
