NTA’s Enforcement App Now Used by An Garda Síochána

NTA’s SPSV mobile enforcement app was in July rolled out to a section of An Garda’s Síochána’s Roads Policing unit as a pilot. This is a powerful tool supporting SPSV roadside audits and the issue of Fixed Penalty Notices which is now available to those Gardaí on their own mobility device. An Garda Síochána can now complete SPSV checks and audits, during roadside interactions or ad hoc on their own equipment as part of their official activities. They can also issue SPSV fines to any person found to be found operating in contravention of SPSV regulations. This has transformed the spread and depth of SPSV enforcement nationwide. Full rollout to all Gardaí will commence this year.
