The summer months are a busy period for social events in our cities and nationwide, with many public and commercial transport services in operation to support the increased passenger demand. If you choose to provide your taxi, hackney or limousine services for these events, be sure to check out the event websites and local traffic information in your area to plan ahead. Dublin in particular, with the highest number of SPSV drivers licenced to ply for hire at over 16,500, will host a number of high volume events across the summer. If you choose to work these events, don’t forget that prebooked taxi journeys are not limited to your licenced area and can be serviced by any of the nearly 27,000 SPSV drivers nationwide.
