Some SPSV Inspections services will resume next Monday, in line with public health advices. This resumption will be completed on a phased basis starting with just 7 centres opening and a gradual increase in capacity until all 12 are operating. This will be subject to final approval from Government on Phase 2 of the Government’s Roadmap for reopening Society and Business proceeding.
NTA will contact the following groups of licence holders directly in the coming days to book priority SPSV suitability inspections:
- Those whose booked SPSV suitability inspections were cancelled due to the Covid-19 emergency; and
- Vehicle licences due to expire in June which have a NCT certificate with an issue date after 10 March 2020.
Please note that vehicle inspection bookings can only be made for these 2 groups at this time. If you are not in either category, do not try to call the Booking Line until 8 June.
The Booking Line will reopen from June 8, with some restrictions initially as the offices are being re-configured to meet Government guidelines. This will lead to longer wait times during busy periods, Mondays are always busiest. We ask for your patience as all of our services re-adjust to a new working environment and strive to make things as safe as possible for staff and industry members.
Please adhere to the additional instructions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 that will be provided on your booking call, in your booking confirmation letter and on posters in each centre.
