An allocation of €55million was secured by the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin T.D., in Budget 2021 for a programme of funding aimed at supporting strategic tourism businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic and driving recovery thereafter.
As part of this programme, Fáilte Ireland has today launched the Strategic Tourism Transport Business Continuity Scheme, which is aimed at eligible tourism transport operators such as vehicle rental companies, chauffeur and limousine businesses and private escorted tour providers.
The scheme is open to applications from businesses in the relevant categories until Thursday 13th May 2021. Further details, including guidelines and support information is available on the Fáilte Ireland website.
