The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has launched two surveys to seek insights and views on the topics of: a) Professional Driver Hours and b) Alternative Sanctions.
Views are invited before the closing date of May 23, 2016.
- Professional Driver Hours – Whether maximum driving times should be introduced for professional drivers not subject to the EU rules on tachograph use and driving times and what they should be with a view to reducing collision risks (Action 122 of the Government’s Road Safety Strategy 2013-2020).
Note that SPSV drivers are not currently subject to EU driving time legislation.
