UPDATE 1ST MARCH 2019: Gardai have received a report that a taxi may have picked up Jon before 11.30am on 09/02/19 near to Highfield Hospital, Swords Road and taken him to the Rathmines area
Missing Person Jon Jonsson DOB : 30/10/1977, from Iceland –GARDA PULSE NO 15982997
Jon came to Ireland to attend the Irish Poker Classic at the Bonnington Hotel, Whitehall on Thursday 7/02/19.
Jon left the Bonnington Hotel at 11.05am on 09/02/2019. He has never been in Dublin before and doesn’t know the area.
Jon was seen on CCTV at McGettigan’s bar at 11.07am, exiting onto the Swords Road heading northbound towards the Airport.
Mr Jonsson was last seen at the exit of Highfield Hospital heading northbound on the Swords Road towards Collins Avenue. He is described as being 1.9m (6’3”) tall, of medium build and with short brown hair. When last seen, he was wearing a black padded jacket.
Gardai are enquiring if taxi drivers may have seen Jon at his last known location (close to the junction of Swords Roads/ Collins Avenue at 11.07am on 09/02/2019), and if they might have ‘Dash Cam’ footage of this area for this time.
