This report aims to provide a framework for the future development of a Sustainable Freight Distribution Strategy and has been developed concurrently with the Greater Dublin Area Transport Strategy 2022-2042.
Chapter Fifteen of the Transport Strategy makes reference to goods movements, the role of freight across the GDA and the intention to develop a Strategy for Sustainable Freight Distribution (Measure FREIGHT 1).
This report helped inform the content of the strategy but also looks ahead to build on prior knowledge and insights to help provide a framework for further investigation into the role of freight, delivery and servicing; now and in the future.
